Do you believe in love at first sight?
I don’t, and yet we stare at each other:
Two creatures suspended in their
Separate space-times.
You dodge each inquiring glance,
And yet your eyes follow my back,
As I browse through things I don’t
Intend to buy.
As I clear my bill, you watch me
With a stillness I refuse to acknowledge.
A moment passes: you open the door,
And I pass you by.
I’ll never see you again, challenge
Your eyes, hide behind a shop display.
For perhaps I know: A patient love
Waits for you at home.

:) cheesy works sometimes, doesn't it?
Nice work. Doesn't seem cheesy to me, but then it wouldn't. :)
