Bittersweet Symphony

The bitter end of something precious. A drastic change from a warm, pleasant feeling to something cold and distant. How do we deal with change? With ends? Especially if they seem so unnecessary, so wanton?

We grieve, we talk, we introspect, we philosphise, we question ourselves, our motives, our values. And we move around in circles. Maybe all the circling helps. Gives a new perspective, greater understanding. Sometimes it helps to just kill time, to numb the voice inside a bit more. So it doesn't seem necessary to ask questions anymore. The goal is accomplished.

But maybe ends aren't meant to be good. Otherwise they wouldn't be ends.
